DOGS:

We always seem to have complaints of dogs running loose or barking

excessively within the Village.  Your dog may be your best friend but to people walking by your property on village property this animal may be a threat.  Keep your dog in a pen or tied at all times when it is outside at all hours of the day.  These behaviors could be considered nuisances and could result in the Village taking punitive action.  If your dog is caught running loose in the Village it will be taken to the Iowa County Humane Society.  Also, the Village Dog Ordinance has a penalty provision that allows for a $5 to $200 dollar fine plus costs.  PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE be a good neighbor and keep your dog on your property and control excessive barking.

All dogs in the Village must be vaccinated and licensed.  If you did not receive a dog license application please call the village clerk at 608-967-2600 to request one.

RECYCLING:

Thank-you for a great job in recycling.  We need to continue to be very diligent in recycling everything we can.  The Department of Natural Resources has very strict guidelines for the village to qualify for our recycling grant money.  The grant money is based on our maintaining a ratio of recycled to total garbage collected.  We have not had a problem making that percentage in the past but must continue to improve our recycling.

Water/Sewer bills

The water/sewer bills will be done on a quarterly basis. If you would like your bills e-mailed to you, contact the clerk at  holvill@mhtc.net to add your e-mail to the list.
