Hollandale Digital Sign Usage

 

 

Submission forms are available for pick up at the library or Village Hall.   Completed forms may be emailed to hdalesign@yahoo.com, required information from the form may be included in an email if you don’t have access to send the form, or you may take it to the Hollandale Village Clerk, Holly DeWitt, 200 5th Avenue, P.O. Box 55, Hollandale, WI  53544.

 

Lead time for programming the sign is 5 days after submission of the form.

 

Two weeks will be the maximum length time an item will be posted.

Content must be appropriate, i.e. not derogatory or using inappropriate language.

 

Content of a submission may need to be adjusted due to limitations of the sign, for example, spacing, readability, design.  The maximum number of screens used for a posting will be 3.

 

Usage Limits: Organizations, Businesses, and Individuals

 

Unlimited

  • Village of Hollandale
  • Non-profit Organizations/Churches/School
  • Original Donors
  • Benefits for Persons with Life-threatening Illness or Loss

 

Limited

  • Local Businesses-8 times per calendar year at no cost. Additional submissions would be $20.00 each. Postings would be for an event or announcement.
  • An example of an event would be: “Halloween Dance, October 30, 8 pm at Stroz, Costume Contest at 9:00.”
  • Examples of an announcement would be: “Uff DA! The Oysters and Herring have arrived at Hollandale Grocery. Get yours before they are gone.” Or “Sigg Landscaping is available for snow removal call xxx-xxx-xxxx to make arrangements.”

 

Paid

  • Personal Announcements or Congratulations (Birthday, Anniversary, etc.) $20.00 each to be paid before the submission will be posted to the sign.
  • Local Businesses exceeding 8 times per calendar year, $20.00 each to be paid before the submission will be posted to the sign.

Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan Survey

The Village of Hollandale is working on a Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan update and we would want to hear from you!

The Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan update provides an opportunity to look ahead to Hollandale’s park and recreation needs for the next five years. The purpose of this plan is to develop goals, objectives and recommendations that will guide Hollandale towards the development and improvement of its outdoor recreation facilities. Updating the plan is also an eligibility requirement for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources’ park and recreation grant funding.

An online survey is now open! The survey was created to help gather input from the public. Please take a moment to fill out the survey at:

FAIR HOUSING PROCLAMATION

FAIR HOUSING MONTH PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS The Fair Housing Act, enacted on April 11, 1968, enshrined into federal law the goal of eliminating racial segregation and ending housing discrimination in the United States; and
WHEREAS The Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in housing based on race, color, religion, sex, familial status, national origin, and disability, and commits recipients of federal funding to affirmatively further fair housing in their communities; and
WHEREAS The Village of Hollandale is committed to the mission and intent of Congress to provide fair and equal housing opportunities for all; and
WHEREAS Our social fabric, the economy, health, and environment are strengthened in diverse, inclusive communities; and
WHEREAS More than fifty years after the passage of the Fair Housing Act, discrimination persists, and many communities remain segregated; and
WHEREAS Acts of housing discrimination and barriers to equal housing opportunity are repugnant to a common sense of decency and fairness.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of Hollandale does hereby declare the month of October, 2021 as
Fair Housing Month
In the Village of Hollandale as an inclusive community committed to fair housing, and to promoting appropriate activities by private and public entities to provide and advocate for equal housing opportunities for all residents and prospective residents of Hollandale.
